More of the food of Istanbul: nuts, Turkish delight, baklava, biscuits, manti, dolma, salads and seafood.

We have both quickly come to the realisation that we are going to return to Australia as immensely fat.  There is so much variety in Turkey and we keep getting tempted to try everything.  When we decide to rest our feet and have a Turkish tea

coffee, or a Turkish coffee ( which is less commonly offered)

we keep being offered free Turkish delight ( as in the above photo)

or sweet biscuits:

Sometimes, we just see snacks that are just too tempting, like mixed nuts

orange and pomegranate Turkish delight

or baklava

and we have to have some.

Sometimes, we just admire the food, like the Turkish ravioli, manti,

but, more often we have to try everything: the salad

the Turkish dolma

mixed marinated seafood

grilled blue fish

and grilled prawns
